Madiba Day at Sizabantwana 2019

What a fantastic day we had with the kids, drumming the day away. Each kid received 2 drumsticks and a “drum” to play on. Past. De Wett was showing the kids how to play a basic beat, but it did not take long before they all were playing along with the rhythm of the guitar.

Month: April- June 2016

Name of the organization: Sizabantwana

  • The team had support from NACCW (Mentor) for preparation of HCT audit on the 04 -05 April 2016, on the 07 April 2016 we had HCT audit at Nhlengelo.
  • The team managed to renew their practice number with SACSSP and submitted their proof of payment.
  • During April 2016, 612 children received services
  • Three young people graduated at Marite Youth Development Center, one young person got a job.
  • Freedom day was celebrated at the Informal Safe Park.

Freely we must give

I have been immensely inspired by friends and family that are going through tough times with children that are suffering with illnesses, diseases and disorders. So much so that I have decided what we have to support them in the next 30 days. Life has her ups and downs and as long as we do not reside on an island isolated , we need to serve our friends.

Freely we have received and freely we must give (Matt 10:5-8)

My “I am’s’ are going to change to “we are’s” ,so this is an open invitation to everybody who would like to join!

Greetings

We would like to thank you for the donation of R15000.00 made to our Organisation. The donation was used to renovate our Reading Power Program Centre. As we have promised to send you the picture. See attached pictures before and after the renovation.

Our children and staff are enjoying the comfort; it makes the environment look professional and good for learning and to do administration, they said.

We also thank you for sending tourists to come and visit our staff and especially the children. We recently had a group from New Mexico that left us with stationery’s  and thank you tips to our staff as well as games to play with the children.

Accelerated Christian Education

Sizabantwana is a non profit Organisation striving to provide Care, Support and empowerment to Orphaned and vulnerable children of Bushbuckidge community. The organisation’s heart is to help these children holistically. Siyakhula project is one of Sizabantwana’s Care Centre where 81 Orphaned and Vulnerable children receive care, support and empowerment. Every afternoon 81 children gather to receive a nutritious meal and get engaged in activities such as sport, home work supervision, and other life skills programmes.

ACE01With the support of N.G church (Hazyview), Sizabantwana started implementing ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) programme for 20 learners. On the 15 February 2016 these children come together for the first time to start with the programme.

SOCCER MATCH

On the 28 of February 2015 we had a soccer match for both the drop- in centres which was Amukelani against Siyakhula and the score was Amukelani 2 and Siyakhula 1, it was one of the best times with the kids and they were so much passionate about soccer and hoping to have played throughout the day. After the match we had a nice lunch with the kids and Mr Frank later Gave motivation about soccer and how it contributes to our health. God loves us as the entire organisation; see how he always provides for us.

On the 25 of March 2015 we held another soccer match of the drop-in centres and this time the score was Amukelani 4 – 0 Siyakhula,
