Sizabantwana is a non profit Organisation striving to provide Care, Support and empowerment to Orphaned and vulnerable children of Bushbuckidge community. The organisation’s heart is to help these children holistically. Siyakhula project is one of Sizabantwana’s Care Centre where 81 Orphaned and Vulnerable children receive care, support and empowerment. Every afternoon 81 children gather to receive a nutritious meal and get engaged in activities such as sport, home work supervision, and other life skills programmes.
With the support of N.G church (Hazyview), Sizabantwana started implementing ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) programme for 20 learners. On the 15 February 2016 these children come together for the first time to start with the programme. Two Child Care Workers are involved in presenting the programme. Very interesting the learners and facilitators express themselves. Presently the programme is being presented in a church building situated near the care centre. Children and their facilitators meet on Monday till Friday from 3pm till 17:15pm. The 20 learners are age between 9 and 12 in Grade 3 and 4 mostly coming from Kwetse Primary School and Alexandria Primary School. Facilitators do their best to make learning fun and interesting; learners are being treated in a special way to avoid the feeling of “school again”
Being relational will continue to be the focus.
Presently we are in need of desks and chairs to make learning easier. Your support will be highly appreciated. To donate contact: support@sizabantwana.org/ sizabantwana@wellnessafrica.com Cell: 072 250 9304. You may also visit our face book page for updates.
